Our Story

The Pickled Pepper People is a black-owned and woman-owned food business that was started in Greenville, SC. We work with local farmers and producers to source vegetables that we prepare and pickle in a spicy brine. This delicious spicy vegetable slaw is a traditional food served in Haiti, West Indies, where we are from.

Haiti has a rich history and culture, and we want to share it and make this wonderful slaw a staple in the United States. Many people don’t know that Haiti defeated the French in the Haitian Revolution in 1804, and Haitian freemen fought alongside colonial troops against the British in Savannah in the late 1700s. This tiny little country packs a punch!! And we believe this spicy slaw perfectly embodies that fire!!

At The Pickled Pepper People, we use only the freshest and highest quality locally sourced and hand-picked vegetables to achieve optimal flavor.  Our products are free of additives and preservatives and do not contain any artificial colors or flavors, packing every spicy bite with a mouth-watering kick.
